A partir del último estudio al que ha dado publicidad la Consejería de Formación de Cantabria el aumento de la cantidad de trabajadores con empleo experimentó un aumento 26 semanas después de que los estudiantes de Ciclos Superiores y Medios de FP acabaran los estudios, alcanzando un 76 por ciento de todos esos alumnos de FP que terminaron con éxito sus estudios de Ciclos Formativos la entrada en un puesto de trabajo.

Un dato que interesa, es que alrededor del 74% de los titulados en los diversos ciclos formativos en Cantabria alcanzan un empleo o bien continúan estudiando. Dentro de los Ciclos Formativos Medios y Superiores, existen familias profesionales con salidas en el mercado de trabajo muy interesantes, como puede ser el caso de las familias del sector de la comunicaciones, del sector de la sanidad, del sector de la madera y el mueble, del sector de la imagen y sonido, así como también del alimentario

Algo muy importante es que cuando hablamos de la inserción laboral de los titulados de FP nos estamos refiriendo a que estos alumnos consiguen puestos de trabajo relacionados con la titulación que han obtenido.

Por eso, al igual que otras Comunidades en España, la Comunidad de Cantabria tiene un plan bien orientado para continuar el desarrollo en el futuro (a corto plazo) la ampliación de la oferta formativa de títulos de FP que va an ofrecer a los alumnos con interés en este tipo de formación. Sin duda eso repercutirá en una mejor adecuación de estas enseñanzas a la realidad que espera el mercado de trabajo y el entorno empresarial

La Formación Profesional queda configurada por lo tanto en base a las conclusiones de esta información como un campo de futuro fundamental para el progreso y la continuidad de la mejora económica de España, que nadie (ni las entidades empresariales ni las entidades sindicales ni tampoco el Gobierno) pueden dejar de recordar ni relegar an un segundo plano. El progreso económico y social de España depende de que las organizaciones sociales comprendan la importancia de potenciar todos los aspectos relacionados con la Formación profesional.

Ciertas medidas puestas en marcha hasta la fecha como la ampliación del número de títulos disponibles en la FP y muy relacionadas con el mercado de trabajo indican que vamos por el buen camino, aunque el espacio a recorrer es todavía mucho: las patronales y sindicatos deben tener en cuenta que adaptar la FP y las titulaciones ofertadas a lo que realmente esperan las empresas que buscan trabajadores con cualificación específica es una apuesta ganadora en la que nos va el futuro.
